Marketing can be a murky business. Exaggerated benefits. Empty promises. Big egos. When we set out to form nu coton, we wanted to start a digital and content marketing studio with integrity, allowing people to see that marketing isn’t the big bad wolf (or at least, it doesn’t have to be).
Since nu coton was formed in 2017, we’re proud to say that we’ve never invested in a ping-pong table, hired an in-house DJ or developed a craft kombucha habit. Instead, our clients’ money is spent on producing good work directly aligned with their business goals. Simple.
Nu coton started with a handful of clients in Edinburgh and we’ve since had the pleasure of working with brands across Scotland, the UK and around the world.
While our work isn’t limited to any one industry (we work across tech, cybersecurity, SaaS and beyond), our clients are united by a common thread: they value authenticity, responsible practice and a highly ethical approach.
Rather a-typically for a company in our line of work, we’re pretty discerning about who we work with. Because we’re passionate about our work (truly passionate, as in care-about-it-so-much-that-sometimes-we-dream-about-it-passionate), we love working with people who view us as an extension of their team, rather than a faceless external agency.

Meet Rachael: a seasoned marketing professional with over 12 years of experience – enhancing the tech world one pixel at a time. She’s your trusted expert for all things digital. Meet Samuel, our resident web wizard who’s been crafting client websites with WordPress and Elementor since 2015. He’s all about the perfect blend of style and substance, with a keen eye for aesthetics, detail and UX. But Samuel isn’t just a web guru; he’s a master of all things visual. He creates eye-catching graphics, rules over the social media realms and executes fine-tuned CRO strategies to make sure every visit counts.
When he’s not busy making the digital world a more beautiful and user-friendly place, you’ll likely catch Sam on a thrift store adventure, hunting down ancient 78 vinyl records – a treasure-hunting pastime he inherited from his dad. And if you ever want to spark some excitement in a conversation, just ask him about the time he got to step inside the very submarine that discovered the Titanic resting on the ocean floor – you’re sure to get an enthusiastic response.
Meet Alanis, our go-to guru for campaign implementation and the in-house encyclopaedia on all things social. She can rattle off platform-specific pixel dimensions and character limits quicker than you can say “social media.” With a knack for deciphering social strategies, crafting engaging content, and making sense of data, Alanis consistently conjures up impressive results. Her magic touch boosts brand visibility and engagement.
